Mukuru Talent Share provides girls, women and PWD's with adequate physical and psychological development. We believe that ''sports empower girls, women, and people with disabilities (PWDs) in underserved communities by enhancing physical and mental health, building self-confidence, and fostering social inclusion.'' For girls and women, sports challenge gender norms, offer leadership opportunities, and provide pathways to education and careers. PWDs benefit from improved mobility, reduced stigma, and increased independence. Sports create safe spaces, reduce the risks of violence or substance abuse, and promote emotional resilience. Through teamwork and shared goals, participants build connections, breaking down stereotypes. Ultimately, sports help individuals thrive, transforming lives and enabling them to contribute meaningfully to their communities. Through sports, underserved girls, women, and PWDs gain the tools to thrive, overcome barriers, and contribute meaningfully to their communities. When accessible, inclusive, and properly supported, sports become a powerful vehicle for social change and individual transformation.
Mukuru Talent School play a vital role in the lives of children in underserved communities by providing accessible education, fostering a sense of belonging while promoting social development. We are a home and academic centre for less fortunate children aged 3 - 11 years who are orphans, homeless, vulnerable or victims of substance use and whose parents are drug addicts or poor. We offer quality learning based on the Kenyan Competency Based Curriculum 2-6-3-3-3 and engage our children in early talent development activities such sports, arts, music and technical games such as chess. The school often address local challenges through culturally relevant curricula and programs that support pupils' emotional well-being. Additionally, we engage families and communities in the education process, creating a supportive environment. This help children build confidence and improve their future opportunities.
Engaging girls in sports isn't enough as it only meets their physical, psychological and social need. Mukuru Talent Share incorporated a non profit company that manufactures leather balls. We empower youth, girls, women, and people with disabilities (PWDs) in underserved communities by providing employment, skill development, and economic opportunities. We promote financial independence, especially for marginalized groups, fostering self-reliance. Participants gain transferable skills, boosting their career prospects and confidence. The enterprise creates inclusive work environments, reducing stigma against women and PWDs. Additionally, profits often support community programs, education, or local sports initiatives, generating positive social impact. By engaging in this venture, individuals strengthen their sense of purpose, contribute to community development, and improve their long-term well-being. The need and opportunity to manufacture balls is to meet the demand of balls since most balls played in Sub-Saharan Africa are either imported or donated from other continents and are not lasting in natural play grounds. We manufacture, sell and donate leather balls that last longer than synthetic balls .
